Background & Curatorial Statement:
Recently, we have witnessed an alarming trend of exclusion, boycotts, and the silencing of creators and artists on the global stage. Initiated during the WorldPride events in Amsterdam—where artists were targeted and excluded based on their identity—this wave has rapidly spread across Europe and North America, reducing art and artists to pawns in global political games.
The TranSism Movement and Q Gallery draw a clear ethical and conscious line: The creator is not a political instrument, but a living subject in a perpetual process of Becoming. Freedom of expression and artistic creation cannot be boycotted, suppressed, or erased by any establishment.
Who is this Open Call for?
- Artists and creators who have faced cancellation, boycotts, or the erasure of their exhibitions/works globally.
- Creators who fundamentally oppose the weaponization of art in international politics.
- Anyone seeking to give voice, presence, and vitality to artistic freedom and full human identity.
Submission & Exhibition Details:
- Format: International Virtual Flash Exhibition, with potential physical display at Q Gallery space (Levinsky 71, South Tel Aviv) based on submissions and reception.
- What to submit: High-resolution artwork files (images/video) + a short text / Artist Statement.
